We (my wife and I) own and operate our vacation cabins rental business at Lost Creek Guest Ranch. We have been in business since the early 1990's and have many long time repeat guests. We enjoy meeting many of our guests, but we strive to give our guests privacy to enjoy the solitude and peacefulness of our valley in their own way. As such, we often have guests that have stayed at one or all of our cabins multiple times before we eventually meet them face to face.
I did much of the construction of our cabins myself with the help of family members and other contractors. We built our first cabin around 1994, our second in 1996, and our third (the Bluebird) around 2000. There is a large homestead cabin (2000 Hidden ) that was already on the property when we purchased it in 1993. There was an old civil war era log cabin on the property when we purchased it. The cabin was still standing but in disrepair and we had to remove it in 2017 for safety reason. We believe the old cabin was built by a Capt. Lewis in the 1860's, and the cabin In honor of the property's heritage, we are currently in the midst of constructing a new 4 bedroom cabin, "The Captain's Quarters", utilizing true oak log construction, overlooking a small private fishing pond. We hope to complete it for vacation guests' use during this summer of 2018.
