Weeki Wachee doesn&#x27;t disappoint. The live mermaid show is amazing to witness how they are able to perform completely underwater.  After the show, there is an opportunity to have your pictures taken with the mermaids as well.Buccaneer BayBeyond the live mermaid show, there is so much more to do. The park is a 538-acre park including Buccaneer Bay which is Florida&#x27;s only spring-fed water park, with a swimming area and water slides.  The river boat cruise is a wonderful way to see Florida&#x27;s wildlife and fauna. On our trip we were fortunate enough to see manatees during our river boat cruise.  The park also has kayak, paddle boards and inner tubes for rent.Entrance to the park is an great value at $13 for adults, $8 for children 6 - 12 and free for children under 5.  Plan to arrive early, especially during busy summer, holiday and weekends as the park may reach capacity.  This is one park you won&#x27;t want to miss.Wildlife Animal Encounter ShowsEnjoy a first-hand encounter with a selection of Florida&#x27;s wildlife including snakes, exotic birds, alligators and more.  A great educational and fun experience for the whole family.  The wildlife shows are held daily at 10 am, 12 pm and 2:15 pm.Snacks, Lunch and RefreshmentsWeeki Wachee has plenty of food options at five different venues throughout the park.  The Mermaid Gallery is near the back of the park and features wraps, burgers, sandwiches, salads, ice cream and other snacks.  Capital Quarters offers a selection of ice cream, snacks and drinks overlooking Buccaneer Bay.  Pirates Grubb offeres burger, hot dogs, chicken fingers and more behind Buccaneer Bay. Hi, we are the Nyusa's! Our family has enjoyed travelling to the Orlando area for many years. After renting vacation homes in Davenport, we decided to buy our Vacation Villa in 2014.
