About me
We spent many years looking for the perfect holiday retreat for our family, wanting somewhere we could go with our children to relax and unwind. Our criteria was quite difficult because not only did we want all the usual things people look for in a holiday home, close to the beach, child friendly, lovely views, great activities in the area, etc we also had to have something that would be suitable for our daughter who is disabled. We looked all over the UK and kept being drawn to North Wales, somewhere my husband and I had spent holidaying with our respective families whilst growing up, not overly practical with a family member who needs a wheelchair. From the first moment of walking into Yr Efail Swynol we knew it was the place for us. With it all being on one level, except for one bedroom and just a small step to negotiate inside, we fell in love with it. It has been amazing how many walks and places we have found which we can take our daughter in her 3 wheeler all terrain buggy. We have even carried her, with the help of friends, up Snowdon in 2012 for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Gaddesden Place RDA. For health reasons we do not accept pets.
We are excited to share this beautiful part of the world with our guests and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
