Check-in Instructions
Will I Need a Door Code to Access the Cabin? No, the keys will be located inside.
Once the cabin is fully cleaned, guests are notified via text and asked to either text when passing the Ingles grocery around the corner OR to just text after pulling onto the property. (Please be safe and no need to text if driving alone).
Carl, the cabin owner (he lives just down the street) will ride over to quickly go over electronics and important things about the home.
Can I Arrive Well After 4 p.m? Yes. Guests are not required to check in during a specific window. Once you paid for the dates, the time is yours. See above about texting when passing Ingles around the corner, OR upon arrival. Carl will be right over to get your group checked in.
Where Can I Use the Restrooms? Public restrooms are at the Ingles grocery store, 1.5 miles from the cabin.
What Should I Do If I Arrive Early?
- Dittmer-Watts Nature Trails Park is right across the street from Ingles, and is a great place to stretch out for a walk.
- Larkins on the Lake restaurant is less than 2 miles away, if you want to grab an appetizer or a drink. I will text if the cabin is available a few minutes earlier than 4 p.m.
- Morse Park is next door to the Lake Lure Visitors Center, a 12 minute drive from the cabin.
- The Lake Lure Flowering Bridge is a 13 minute drive from the cabin, in the same area as the Lake Lure Visitors Center.
House Notes and Departure Checklist will be in the brochure holder near coffee machine. Help yourself to anything in the kitchen and bathrooms; it is all there for guest use.
If you would like to test connecting to the outdoor deck bluetooth speakers, just have your phone with you and test with Carl. Please text for any questions during your stay, or if you cannot locate an item. (828) 289-3200
