I have worked and lived in the Fort Walton Beach area for over 24 years and love it! The area with its multitude of water related activities involving the Gulf of Mexico, Choctawhatchee Bay and the various bayous, there is always something to do. I've done quite a bit of boating, tubing, water skiing, in-shore and deep sea fishing, catamaran and mono hull sailing, spending time at Crab Island, and SCUBA diving and am nowhere tired of any of them. I've also played several of the area's golf courses. This area used to be called the 'Playground Area' and I think that name was very fitting.
