This 3 bedroom/2 bath condo is a short drive to each of the Disney parks, Disney Springs and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (10-15 min excluding traffic). It is also less than 10 miles to Sea World, Universal Studios Orlando, and the Orange County Convention Center. The Orlando International airport is about 20 minutes away.

Going to Disney? Whether you take World Center Drive or International Drive to Osceola Parkway, a limited number of stoplights means you are mostly moving at highway speed.

-- POOL FUN --
If ye come seekin' adventure and salty ol' pirates, you've come to the proper place! The "Pirate Plunge" themed pool with its impressive pirate ship appeals to adventurers of all ages. The zero entry "beach" access is ideal for little pirates or anyone who is not able to use stairs, and the umbrella spray fountains make for a fun way to cool off without having to submerge. Although the top deck of the pirate ship is NOT accessible to guests, there is a fun slide* that goes right through the hull of the ship. Other fun features around the pool include 3 hot tubs and 5 relaxing hammocks (plus 2 outdoor showers). Or just relax at a table under an umbrella and sip a cool drink from the poolside "tiki bar". As an alternative to the Pirate Plunge pool, you might enjoy the smaller "Relaxation" pool on the other side of the resort.
*Note: must be 48" or taller to use the slide

Our kitchen contains a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. It also has a toaster, coffee pot, blender, hand mixer, three pots, a frying pan, a cookie sheet, dishes, glasses and flatware.

Our unit contains a stackable washer and dryer machine, which means you can pack less (and you can wash and wear those comfy walking socks more than once). Feel free to wash your clothes before heading home (powder for ONE load is provided, so be sure to bring some extra pods/detergent from home for additional loads).

-- WALK TO OUTLET MALL --
Want to pick up some Disney merchandise at a discount, sunglasses, an extra outfit, flip flops or suitcase (in case you bought more than you planned)? The Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores are a very short walk away - the close proximity is a bonus if some members of your group want to shop longer than others. Shops include Gap, Levi's Carter's, Nike, Croc's Old Navy, Vitamin World and more. It even has a small food court.


-- NEARBY SERVICES --
Publix (grocery store) is less than a mile away... no stoplights to get there. Also less than a mile away is a Walmart, RaceTrac gas station, Starbucks and a number of quick food service locations. There are also two Amazon Lockers close by so you can order items for your trip and ship them to one of the Lockers (size/weight limitations apply). If you have Amazon Prime you can order something you forgot to pack and have it delivered to the locker in a day or two. There is also a nearby urgent care location for minor emergencies.


-- PERSONAL FAVORITE PART OF UNIT --
I enjoy having breakfast or lunch on the balcony while enjoying the 9th floor view. Though I may not be at Disney, I like knowing it is right there so I still feel in touch with the "magic". See if you can spot the unique roof of Cirque du Soleil, or the "Aerophile" balloon that occasionally soars in the air above Disney Springs. At night, the thrill rides of Old Town Kissimmee can be seen glowing - can you guess what they are? At certain times of the year (mostly fall/winter) you might be lucky enough to catch a beautiful, cotton-candy pink sky at sunset. As an added comfort, the 4' high railing makes me feel less bothered about the height compared to other properties I've stayed at.


-- CAN YOU SEE THE FIREWORKS? --
Can you see them? Yes, but to be honest they are a bit distant (see photos). You can hear the faint booms of Magic Kingdom's fireworks but they more than 7 miles away and you need to stand at the railing and look to the far right to see them. We have an unobstructed view of Epcot (~ 4 miles away) so you can see PORTIONS of the Harmonious show but the fireworks are not shot as high in the air as the ones at the Magic Kingdom, and they are much more sporadic due to the nature of the show (so it can be 'meh' at times). Still, it is a nice bonus to step out on the balcony and watch for a few minutes if you are in the unit at the time. I just want to set your expectations.


-- WHY BOOK THIS UNIT? --
EXCELLENT location (see distances below), quiet corner unit with only one shared wall, southwest exposure with plenty of natural light throughout the day, 9th floor views of the Disney property in the distance (with a peek of fireworks on select nights), fun pool and slide.
