The Bigfoot Lodge - Twain Harte

Constantly updated family cabin within easy walking distance of downtown Twain Harte. The well-maintained cabin is situated on one of Twain Harte's quietest streets, includes covered parking, and a front and back deck. Constructed in 1949, this classic cabin has two bedrooms and one full bath. Wireless internet, TV Apps, DVD/BluRay with lots of DVDs. Full kitchen, gas grill BBQ on deck, electric fireplace, dining room, kids area, toys, games, books, DVDs & a reliable furnace for a nice, warm cabin. We pride ourselves on offering a CLEAN cabin with a NEW memory foam queen bed in each bedroom and an assortment of pillow types - we ask guests to bring their own sheets & pillowcases; if this is an issue we can make accommodations. New living room furniture as of 2018 and a new smart 40" TV in 2019. The large back deck overlooks a small fenced backyard. Plenty of deer come through every day. *BONUS: the cabin is a rare find in proper Twain Harte as it has some SPACE in between the neighboring cabins, but I must state for my full-time neighbors who live in this quiet neighborhood, THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE and 10 pm - 8 am noise rules must be adhered to. There are several large rentals close to downtown that are suitable for large groups and parties.

Spring 2021 Things to Do - with covid and the fire danger, here is what's closed and open. Pinecrest Lake is OPEN. Twain Harte ditch trails are open for hiking and fishing. Tuolumne County is county moving back to indoor dining. Columbia State Park, Cover's Apple Ranch, Black Oak Casino & downtown Sonora is open. Most Twain Harte restaurants, parks, and stores are open.

There are 9 places to eat and drink within a 5 - 10-minute walk. Also walk to golf, tennis, public pool in summer, putt-putt golf (open on warm weekends), playground, skate park, ditch trail, shops, ice cream, & coffee.

We rent the main floor and there is also a large basement that has a washer-dryer and a foosball table. Upstairs is a locked, owner area that is not accessible to guests (and remains empty during your stay). We have a cornhole game in the backyard and a portable bocce ball set for the downtown bocce courts.

My rental agreement is available to view after booking. It's a basic agreement that covers house rules and length of stay. I forward it to renters approximately 2 weeks before check-in to re-review & sign. I require a copy of a government ID that matches the name and address provided on the rental agreement.

I generally don't accept last-minute rentals.
